Irene Fialka

Dr. Irene Fialka is CEO of INiTS the academic business incubator supporting entrepreneurs with technology-based business ideas from all academic institutions in Vienna, Austria. She has worked with innovative startups and lectured related topics since 2004.

Founded in 2002, INiTS has a long track record of startup successes in Vienna, one of the rising stars amongst the startup hubs in Europe. Startups such as Dutalys, Fluidtime, Marinomed, mySugr, pidso, Radiant Minds, Shpock, S-target, Ubimet, and many more were supported by INiTS in their early days. INiTS’ startups have proven to be extremely successful in raising funds and finding strategic partners, e.g. for exits. INiTS has played an important role in building trustworthy bridges to foster the collaboration between corporates and startups and open innovation. 

Dr. Fialka is molecular biologist by training and had worked for > 10 years as a research scientist before she started as an open innovation expert.
