Krysten Connely is the Director of Marketing, Communications and Government Relations at the DMZ, Canada’s leading tech accelerator for high-growth startups, where she leads brand and digital marketing, communications, sponsorships and government relations. In this role, she is focused on developing go-to-market strategies for program and initiative releases, redefining the brand and leading integrated campaigns that further user acquisitions and drive program engagement among high-growth tech companies, founders and investors from coast to coast.
As an experienced marketing and communications specialist, she has spent years creating fresh and innovative communications strategies for a variety of organizations, from tech startups to large institutions, and has worked to deliver new solutions for the industry, academic and community sectors. She has been actively involved in several collaborative action-oriented research and industry projects, women in leadership and tech initiatives and work that addresses diversity and unemployment.
Krysten holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa, a joint Master’s of Communication and Culture degree from York University and Ryerson University, and an MBA from Ryerson University.
